Regulating Valves

Regulators are used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems compatible with HFC and HCFC refrigerants. The high quality of the materials employed ensures long life for the regulator and allows refrigeration systems to operate with wide load variations.
3310 capacity control
3320 start-up pressure control
3330 evaporation pressure control
3340 condensation pressure control
3350 liquid receiver pressure control
3210 water pressure valves

Hermetic Filters

The filters, shown in this leaflet, are designed for installation on commercial refrigerating systems and on civil and industrial conditioning plants. Filters series DF2 and series DF3 have been developed for specific installations on refrigerating systems using HFC refrigerant fluids, particularly R134a , R404A , R407C , R410A and R507 mixed with POE lubricants. In spite of this, the new block may be successfully used also in refrigerating systems using the old CFC or HCFC refrigerant fluids, mixed with mineral lubricants.

Safety valves 3061-3065

Thye safety valves series 3061 and 3065 are safety devices according to the definition given in Article 1, Point 2.1.3, 2nd dash of 97/23/EC Directive and are the subject of Article 3, Point 1.4) of aforesaid Directive. The valves above mentioned are direct-loaded type, unbalanced, conveyed discharge. Valve opening is produced by the thrust the fluid under pressure exerts on the disc, when said thrust exceeds, under setting conditions, the opposing force of the spring acting on the disc. The safety valves series 3061 and 3065 are manufactured in accordance with European standard EN ISO 4126-1: 2013, relative either to the design / construction of the valves or to the functional characteristics of the same.

Straight Check Valve

The check valves, shown in this document, are classified “Pressure accessories” in the sense of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC, Article 1, Section 2.1.4 and are subject of Article 3, Section 1.3 of the same Directive. They are designed for installation on commercial refrigerating systems and on civil and industrial conditioning plants, which use the following refrigerant fluids: R134a , R404A , R407C , R410A ; R507. For specific applications with refrigerant fluids not listed above, always proper to the Group II, please contact Castel Technical Department.

Solenoid valves

Solenoid valves are designed for installation on commercial refrigeration systems and civil and industrial air conditioning systems employing the following refrigerants: R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A; R507 in Group II. Contact Castel’s Technical Office for information on specific applications with refrigerants which are not listed above but do belong to Group II.
Available in normally closed or NC and normally open or NO versions, with connections from ¼" to 2.1/8" and a vast range of reels and connectors.

Angleway check valves 3184/3185

The new Angleway check valves 3184/3185 are designed for installation on commercial refrigerating systems and on civil and industrial conditioning plants, which use the following refrigerant fluids: R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R507. These check valves are approved by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. of the United States according to UL 207 Standard.
Check valves are available in the following two types:

Type 3184 (standard spring) that guarantees a low opening pressure differential.
Type 3185 (reinforced spring) that guarantees a higher opening pressure differential, for eemple to use on plant with compressors connected in parallel.

Threaded brass connections
Designed for installation on systems using the following refrigerants: R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A; R507 in Group II (as defined in Article 9, Point 2.2 of Directive 97/23/CE, with reference to Directive 67/548/CEE). Contact Castel’s Technical Office for information on specific applications with refrigerants which are not listed above but do belong to Group II.

Vibration isolators
Vibration isolators are installed on commercial refrigeration and civil and industrial air conditioning systems to eliminate transmission of vibrations generated by the compressor to the pipes in the circuit. They also reduce noise and compensate for slight thermal dilation.
Vibration isolators are designed for installation on systems using the following refrigerants: R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A; R507 in Group II (as defined in Article 9, Point 2.2 of Directive 97/23/CE, with reference to Directive 67/548/CEE). Contact Castel’s Technical Office for information on specific applications with refrigerants which are not listed above but do belong to Group II.

Access fittings and mechanisms
All filling fittings and mechanisms illustrated here are excluded from application of Directive 97/23/CE in that they are classified as piping components, as stated in Guidelines 1/8 and 1/9.
Access fittings permit quick, economical creation of a filling or bleed point. Once filling or bleeding operations have been completed, a sealed cap (code 8392/A or code 8391/A) prevents all possible refrigerant leakage.

Ball valves 6570/6571

The new Ball Valves 6570/6571 are designed for installation on commercial refrigerating systems and on civil and industrial conditioning plants, which use the following refrigerant fluids: R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R507 proper to the group II.
Ball valves are available in the following two types:

Type 6570 (full port) and type 6571 (reduced port) without access fitting.
Type 6570/A (full port) with access fitting, These ball valves are equipped with valve core 8394/A and blind nut 7020/20.
