OSN = Application for low temperature cooling

Over a period of many years, BITZER’s open screw compressors have established a reputation as a robust and efficient market solution. They’re used on their own and in parallel operation with several compressors and a shared oil separator. The combination of open compressor and external standard motors makes the entire series exceptionally flexible and facilitates operation at different supply voltages. With the corresponding accessories such as couplings and coupling housing, BITZER ensures a simple and secure connection between compressor and external standard motor. Another advantage is that the refrigerant circuit and electrical drive are separate, which simplifies maintenance and repair, promoting utilisation in many special applications in particular, including in the chemistry and pharmaceutical industries, and resulting in the use of OS screw compressors on ships.

OSKB compressors are primarily used at the low-temperature stage of booster refrigeration systems. Thanks to their unique design, they’ve gained a great deal of trust among large-scale commercial and industrial users. In conjunction with OSK compressors for the high-temperature stage, a single refrigeration system can, for instance, accommodate low and medium temperature applications – for a simple, compact and cost-efficient solution.

LHE SERIES WITH ECOLINE COMPRESSORS

With the implementation of the Ecodesign Directive, fans will be subject to stricter efficiency requirements from 2015, and condensing units from 2016. The new air cooled LHE condensing units from BITZER meet these criteria and boast an optimized combination of fans and condenser. They’re taking the place of the previous models with the same connection sizes, making replacement simple. As a modular system, they’re available in several configuration levels and with single and tandem compressors.

The new CSH series is based on the proven design elements of the innovative BITZER compact screws, which are recognized as a benchmark around the world. They were developed with respect to universal application in air cooled liquid chillers and heat pumps. Besides their known attributes, the compressors are distinguished by further improvements to energy efficiency under full- and part-load conditions. Additionally, the application limits were greatly expanded both in terms of low saturation discharge temperatures and high pressure ratios (heat pumps) – without compromising operating reliability.

The ECOLINE range is the creative advancement of the proven, robust and powerful semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors from BITZER. It combines high efficiency, smooth running, a wide range of applications, flexibility in refrigerant selection, solid design and high reliability. The ECOLINE range is available across our full range of services. It includes the full range of semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors and replaces its predecessors with the same connection sizes.

With their groundbreaking properties, the BITZER ECOLINE compressors are complemented by the new series with integrated frequency inverters (FI), allowing for seamless capacity control. Seamless capacity control minimizes suction pressure fluctuations and cycling rates, thus reducing energy costs. In particular, single-compressor applications can be completed with a considerably higher system efficiency.

2ND GENERATION 2-STAGE

The semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors, which compress the refrigerant in two stages, are optimized for the low-temperature refrigeration range. Liquid subcooling significantly increases the cooling capacity and efficiency of the entire system.

2ND GENERATION OPEN TYPE

Open-drive reciprocating compressors are available in two model series: for (H)CFC/HFC refrigerants and for ammonia. Due to the open-drive construction, standard motors can be attached to the compressor via coupling housing or belt drive. Reliability and easy maintenance have made them popular options for years.
